Over the coming 10 weeks I’d like to introduce a little segment where I let you all know who I think are the best unsigned acts out there at the moment to watch live. Obviously I can’t mention anyone I’ve not yet seen so don’t worry if you don’t make this countdown or if your favorite band aren’t mentioned! There will be no specific order just a new band every week until we have our 10! I will be attending gigs throughout the countdown so if you have a show that catches my attention there is every chance you could make the list even though I may not have even heard of you yet!

Remember this is just my opinion you may have other thoughts, so feel free to comment I always enjoy a good debate!

So without further delay let’s get week 1′s artists out of the bag …….

INCIDIUM!

I’ve had the privilege of seeing these guys on several occasions in the last couple of years and only 1 thing springs to mind every time I see them …. “Awesome”. Not content with being one of the tightest thrash outfits the North West has to offer they deliver a windmilling, blood curdling furore with every note and create an atmosphere Dimebag himself would have been proud of!

I first met up with Incidium at the Whittles rock pub Battle of the Bands in 2009 which they won, and in all honesty were worthy winners. One of the tightest sets, most brutal sounds and best stage presences of any unsigned band. One to watch out for most deffinately!

So … If you havn’t yet had the honour of watching these guys live I strongly suggest getting down to any show you can, find them on myspace and facebook to keep upto date with whats going on and where you can find the next generation of thrash!
