Well, here we are, a little later than planned, due to Parkway making me mosh (damn Aussies!). Week 2 of our countdown of the best unsigned talent the great North West has to offer!

So without any further delay …..

SKIN THE PIG!

Skin The Pig are 6 talented blokes originally from Northern Ireland, but as they now ply their trade from Manchester they qualify for this rundown.

What can I say about these guys that hasn’t been said before? No idea to be honest but lets have a crack at it! I first met up with Skin The Pig in 2010 in Manchester’s academy 3 where they stepped in as a last minute replacement for a band that were unable to fulfill their commitments and they very nearly stole the show!

The two frontment work so well together that even traditionalists are starting to say “you know if it’s done right this can work”. Skin The Pig deffinately do it right, I’ve had the chance to see these guys a couple of times around Manchester and everytime it seems like they are taking their game onwards and upwards.

The four musicians in the band are becoming tighter and tighter and there is only one thing in their future … Success! One song in particular sums this band up when comparing them with other local acts … “I rise, You fall”. The brutal drum beats, the heavy low notes, the awesome riffs, the earie screams, the gentle chorus singing, 1 song encaptulates all that Skin The Pig have to offer. That is not to say you will get bored, because the only thing that will stop you wanting to mosh out to these guys is …. Death!
